This project explores AI prompt engineering for architectural ideation.Through combining biophilic design and image generating AI softwares, the project aims to weave a radically interdependent network where human and non-human agents form a mutualism.

Mycelium and plant roots create the mycorrhizal network of forests, a fundamental communication web for the functioning of decomposition systems. This network distributes nutrients across a range of organisms, creating complex symbiotic relationships for the survival of the species. This project is a systems design for the construction materials in London which learns from the mycorrhizal networks. The fungi, which are the fruit of the mycelium and the nodes of our network, will manifest as material banks in every neighbourhood. Just like a mushroom offering a visual feast to the forest members with its unique colours and patterns, special scaffoldings are designed to help with the categorisation of components during a building’s demolition stage. As these scaffoldings are designed with visually stimulating, mycelium thread-like patterns, they will change the negative connotations associated with construction sites and demolition.
